Anxiety & Worry Reflection
For worry that runs in the background and will not switch off.
Generalised worry is unusual among difficult experiences in that it often looks like responsibility from the outside. Planning, checking, anticipating — the behaviours are useful right up until they stop having an off switch.
This reflection separates the content of worry from its mechanics: how easily it starts, how hard it is to interrupt, where it shows up in your body, and what it costs you in sleep and attention.
The items follow the domains that anxiety research consistently identifies — uncontrollability, physical arousal, avoidance, and anticipation — and the result is written back as a description, not a label.
What this reflection looks at
- Worry that is hard to control or stop
- Physical tension, restlessness, and startle
- Sleep and the racing mind at night
- Avoidance and anticipating the worst
What it is not
This is not an anxiety screening or diagnostic tool. If you are experiencing panic that feels medically frightening, please contact a doctor.
What you get at the end
A short reflection written back to you in everyday language, a couple of gentle next steps, and — if you want them — a way to find a therapist who focuses on anxiety and worry. You can have your result emailed to you, or skip that entirely.
